The door was open, even though the local looked dark and empty. A waiter stood behind the counter and scrubbed it with a dirty cloth. An overweight senior sat in a booth with red silk pillows and looked like frozen at the menu.
It was at this place that we'd decided to meet. I started to walk towards a spare round table and saw my sparkling eyes as I walked next to an old mirror. He would be here soon. I carefully sat down in a wooden chair that unfortunately made a sound. The waiter turned his head and looked at me. I smiled at him before I buried my face and shame into the menu. The cafe sold everything from ice cream to lasagna, but I settled for an ice tea.
Three ice teas later, and he still hadn't showed up. He who didn't just call me cute. No, he said that i was his soulmate.
A crystal clear tear ran down my cheek. I felt a stinging pain in both my eyes and my
stomach. As I slowly raised my body from the chair, I grabbed in my pocket and put a ten on the table. I tried to get to the exit as good as possible. Suddenly a guy, wet from the rain from top to toe, came in to the cafe and looked around. At last he saw me, stumbled towards me and grabbed my shoulders. His look was serious and calming as he looked into my surprised yet sad eyes.
He smiled and pushed his lips onto my lips.
